The final model in the Carnegie line, this Carnegie Collection Velociraptor by Safari Ltd. is an all new sculpt intended to replace the 2003 version (which had been repainted in 2007). This replica was originally intended to release alongside the 25th anniversary edition T. rex for the beginning of 2014, but was delayed. It is possible the delay was intended to save an already in production model for the gap that would be created by the line's cancellation in 2015. The Velociraptor wound up becoming available for purchase in November of 2014, and is listed as a 2015 release both in the 2015 Safari collectors guide and on its belly stamp. Curiously, the scale in both the guide and the stamp is given as 1:50 rather than the correct 1:10 - quite a big error. This sort of thing would inevitably have been corrected had the line continued. Instead, Velociraptor mark 2 exists as one of the shortest-lived Carnegie models, in production for less than a year.
